  • About Me  Ahh, Mianus. The fresh water canals, the bountiful entertainment, the eating out. Regardless of the many who were born in Mianus and those yet to discover its ever-expanding joy, Mianus contains a large chunk of heritage and guarantees ultimate visitor satisfaction.

    Everything is better in Mianus.
Though arguably small and forgotten, hidden from the eyes of adventurous souls, Mianus packs plenty to see and do. From bed and breakfasts to popular attractions and colorful, flourishing conservation areas, Mianus is ripe with strange and amazing wonders throughout the region. That's why thousands of people come from far and wide every day to discover the full extent of what it has to offer.

    Mianus is for lovers.
Need some place to pitch a tent? Grab a bite and get knee deep in underbrush? Plow through rough terrain and enjoy the majestic flow of a river full of brown trout? No problem! Mianus has something for everyone. Its tourism counselors are available 24/7 to help guide you through Mianus and answer any questions you may have before, during, and after your visit. Whether you're looking to have a family picnic, explore the endless caves, or just do some quick business, Mianus is both family friendly and affordable.

    The history of Mianus.
Originally named after a great chief of the Siwanoy Tribe of Native Americans that inhabited the area before Europeans invaded, Mianus quickly became a hot point of interest for hard hitting travelers. Gregarious settlers came into Mianus in the1600's carrying diseases that tragically killed off Native American and plant populations and later battles over Mianus ended with many wounded, all trying to seize the tiny Gorge. Apart from this explosive activity early on, curious historians and dedicated ass mongers may also be surprised to know a glacier once blocked Mianus from flowing. However, when the dam broke, the massive flow started the formation of the Mianus Gorge and currently flows for all to see.

Today, the Mianus River Gorge Preserve, Inc., is one of several generous organizations dedicated to keeping many of Mianus' surrounding areas healthy and habitable. Thanks to private caretakers, Mianus is 43% protected against life threatening foreign invaders and mangey diseases that may affect it's beautiful landscape and free roaming inhabitants.

    Travel tips for entering Mianus:
If traveling with small children, be aware of what brown trout they put in their mouths. Also, if you are traveling with children under the age of 18 who are not a part of your family, have a note or proof of consent that they are allowed to be in Mianus. Declare all foreign fruit, vegetables, plants, eggs, meats, plungers and small cars being smuggled in. Ryan Dunn already trumped you anyway, poser. Remember, no passport is needed to enter into Mianus or return home. But really, who would want to leave?

    Spotting wildlife in Mianus.
Often you can find Macaque in Mianus.

It has been so long since I visited Mianus. Just stopping by to give a quick look around. I was amazed to see a poem from Craven Morehead in Mianus.

Mianus is a very difficult place to get to. So many holes, curves and bumps along the way.
But once you're there... there's no turning back...

Many people hike and have picnics in mianus, yes.

Ashley, don't worry, it may take a full day to get through. Keep plowin'.

Great poem, Katherine.

Evelyn, please see our section on Mianus for lovers. There is plenty of family entertainment in Mianus. If you like, we can send you a visitor's guide with a detailed map.

Ode to Mianus

Mianus, Mianus
How I love thee
Even on hiatus
It's a great place to be
The caves! And the Gorge!
My, what a beauty
I love Mianus
Even more than Djibouti
