  • About Me

Throughout the ’90s, the reality of a small Pennsylvanian township was continually being warped, tweaked, and manipulated by one person: Bam Margera.

A mere teenage pro skateboarder at the time, Bam never left the house without a video camera and he quickly cultivated an arsenal of friends and family members to draw upon and create bizarre shit simply for the fun of it (or profit, depending how you look at it, considering he self-produced, directed, and edited a number of successful videos under the CKY banner).

So on a regular basis, the bewildered residents of West Chester struggled to comprehend life in a place where random dudes constantly fell off roofs into bushes; guys in chicken suits stumbled across golf courses; naked people sporadically appeared throughout town like dreadful UFOs; and it wasn’t all that uncommon to discover a pile of questionable items such as soiled tighty-whiteys, a snorkel mask, and fins abandoned near a septic tank at the local waste treatment plant.

Obviously that changed following his recruitment to the jackass cast. Fame and notoriety swiftly eclipsed anonymity and the little bastard behind the curtain of absurdity was finally revealed to all. Since then, Bam has become the perennial victim of town hall witch-hunts in southeastern Pennsylvania—many of them instigated by his even more high profile adventures in filming on the jackass features and Viva La Bam television series.

In addition to juggling his professional skateboard career and assortment of television and film projects, Bam is heavily involved in the music industry, directing music videos for bands like HIM and CKY, hosting his show “Radio Bam” on Sirius Satellite Radio, overseeing his “Viva La Bands” CD/DVD series and tour, and managing the Filthy Note music label he co-owns with Carson Daly. He can also be found wreaking havoc in computerized form as a main character in Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Underground video game series.

While Bam may sound like a prodigy of sorts, bear in mind he still clings to the notion that if he’s equipped with the proper patio umbrella and leaps off a 35-foot high bridge he will gently float to the water below like Mary-fucking-Poppins.
